The Nigerian Police Command in Sokoto have arrested fifteen suspected armed bandits in Isa local government area of the state.

Ibrahim Ka’oje, the the Sokoto state Police Commissioner, while parading the suspects at the state command on Tuesday said, the arrest was done over the weekend by the combined security patrol team comprising of all the security agencies in the state.

He disclosed that the suspected bandits are fleeing bandits from Zamfara state that could not bare the hit in Zamfara as a result of ongoing military operations in the state.

Okay Nigeria understands that items recovered from them were locally fabricated gun, matchets, operational motorcycles, assorted charms and other light weapons.

Meanwhile, the Police commissioner called on members of the public to provide useful information to the security authorities which will lead to arrest of other suspects in the state.
