A suspect linked to kidnapping case of 6ix9ine has been arrested.

According to TMZ, the Police arrested Anthony Jamel Ellison over charges connected to the earlier kidnapping, pistol-whipping, and robbery of the rapper.

Ellison has been indicted on 1 count of conspiracy to obstruct commerce by robbery, 1 count of obstructing commerce by robber, and 1 count of carrying a firearm to commit a crime, the website reports.

The suspect was reportedly a member of Tekashi’s management team before the rapper become popular.

Ellison was arrested on November 6 and remains in jail. Ellison pled not guilty to all charges against him.

The fact that Ellison was a former member of Tekashi’s team jibes with what he said immediately following the robbery. After the rapper got out of the hospital, he called in to DJ Akademiks’ Twitch stream and said that the robbery was orchestrated by people who knew him.

Quoting him;

“It was an inside job,” he said. “It wasn’t no outside n***as. It’s n***as that know how the king of New York moves, you know what I’m saying? The only person that can get a Pharaoh in Egypt is the person who helped build the fuckin’ kingdom, you know what I’m saying? The n***a that’s right next to him. The n***a that know who built that shit, that got the blueprints.”

While 6ix9ine has beefed up his security since the incident, the attacks on the rapper continue. A recent music video shoot with Tekashi, Nicki Minaj, and Kanye West had to be called off after gunmen fired at the mansion where they planned to film.
