Officers of the Oyo State Police Command on Wednesday arrest 20-year-old primary school teacher accused of raping a 10-year-old through the anus in Ibadan, the state capital.
The suspect, Collins Obi, according to state Police Public Relations Officer, Adekunle Ajisebutu, committed the ac sodomy on November 5, 2016.
The Punch quoted the police spokes as also saying that apart from teachin the school where the victim attended, accused was also the boy’s personal teacher.
His words: “The 20-year-old pr schoolteacher was arrested for having anal intercourse withyear-old boy. The suspect, who also a personal teacher of the victim, committed the unlawf on November 5, 2016.
“He lured the little boy to a house the Asaka Itamaya area of Ibadan where the offence was committe.
Ajisebutu said the prompt interventio the victim’s mother, who alerted the police at the Iyaganku Police Station, Ibadan, made it possible for the suspe to be arrested.
The PRO further said that the victim would be charged to court immediatel on the order of the state Commission Police, Samuel Adegbuyi.
He said, “Following the report made at the station by victim’ mother after the boy narrated ordeal to her, detectives from station arrested the suspect i hideout. During interrogation, suspect confessed to the crim disclosed that he was introdu the act by an older friend, wh now at large.
“The victim was taken to a hospit medical attention. The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Samuel Adegbuyi, has directed immediat arraignment of the suspect in co after completion of investigation State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department. He also advised parents and guardians to properly monitor their children o wards.”
