Daniel Igali, President, Nigeria Wrestling Federation (NWF), says he is humbled by the show of love by Team Canada that donated some kits to his wrestling team to the ongoing 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

Igali, who also doubles as coach of his five-man squad to the Games, said: “I’m happy that they are always with me by extending love and affection with these gifts’’.

According to the Daily Bulletin, published by the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), Igali, a former captain of the Canadian team, won an Olympic Gold at the Sydney 2000 Games.

He is celebrated as an icon of the Canadian wrestling team.

“It has become a routine at all the Games for Canada to extend this type of gesture to me. I am indeed grateful to them,’’ he said. (NAN)
