Technical Glitch Hits NNPC’s Recruitment Portal Amid Application Surge

By Muhammad A. Aliyu

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) has experienced significant technical issues on its website due to an overwhelming influx of job applications.

This comes just hours after NNPC announced a major recruitment drive, seeking to hire new workers for various positions across its departments.

The surge in job applications has caused the NNPC website to slow down considerably, with many users encountering a 404 error page when attempting to access the portal.

In a statement on X, NNPC confirmed the technical difficulties: “Due to unprecedented traffic to the NNPC Ltd. career page from applicants applying for vacancies, the site is currently experiencing slow load times. Our technicians are working diligently to rectify the problem as quickly as possible. Please be assured that the application process deadline remains August 20, 2024.”
