Nigerian Afrobeats artist, Tekno, has addressed widespread rumours about his health following the circulation of a video that allegedly showed the artist collapsing on stage during a performance in South Africa. The video quickly went viral on social media, sparking concern among his fans.

Tekno, whose real name is Augustine Miles Kelechi Okechukwu, took to Instagram to clear the air and reassure his followers.

In a post shared on Monday, the music star dispelled the rumours, stating that he was neither in South Africa nor the person in the video.

“Hey guys, I’m hale and hearty and not currently in South Africa,” Tekno wrote alongside photos of himself on a beach walkway. “I hope whoever that was in the video is doing well and ok. Thank you guys. Love you.”
