Renowned music video director, ThankGod Omori Jesam, popularly known as TG Omori, has addressed allegations that his colleagues in the music industry did not offer him financial assistance during his recent health crisis.

Omori, who has been battling kidney disease, underwent a series of kidney transplant surgeries at St. Nicholas Hospital in Lagos on August 26.

Despite undergoing surgery three times, the transplant procedures were ultimately unsuccessful.

The situation sparked public discourse, with some individuals, including controversial singer Portable, criticizing the lack of financial support from the entertainment industry.

Portable expressed his frustration on social media, accusing celebrities of failing to donate funds or even a kidney to TG Omori.

He contrasted this perceived inaction with the support shown to Bobrisky, the crossdresser who recently received donations while in legal trouble for currency abuse. Portable went as far as to label the camaraderie in Nigeria’s music industry as “fake.”

“TG Omori has a kidney problem and celebrities are not donating money or kidneys for him,” Portable remarked. “But Victor Osimhen and others donated money for Bobrisky, who has no value. The industry is full of fake love.”

In response to these claims, TG Omori clarified that he had, in fact, received substantial support from his colleagues well before his health issues became public knowledge.

He emphasized that what he needed most were prayers, moral support, and love, which he received in abundance.

“All I needed was your prayers, moral support, and love. This I am grateful to have gotten in abundance,” Omori said. “The industry and friends have been solidly behind me months before it all came public. Please ignore the clout-desperate dogs.”
