But he ended up making a £33m move to Stamford Bridge, snubbing PSG and Arsene Wenger in the process.

Kante spoke with Blues boss Antonio Conte and it was his conversation with the Italian that swung his decision.

Kante told Le Parisian :

“It’s true that PSG were like other clubs after my good season with Leicester.

“But I chose Chelsea after speaking to the coach and the sporting director. And I don’t regret it.

“What’s more, the league and the style of play in England pleases me.”

Kante had a great season for Chelsea

It turned out of the a good decision for Kante as he picked up his second Premier League title in a row at Stamford Bridge.

Arsenal finished outside the top four for the first time in 20 years while PSG were beaten to the title by Monaco.

Kante also picked up the PFA Player of the Year award to crown a superb season.
