Google Play has declared the restoration of TikTok to the United States of America app store on Thursday according to the country’s time zone, this occured after promises by President Donald Trump to deliver the app and an executive order bringing to minimal the enforcement of a ban on the social media company.

TikTok’s unclear future sprouts from a law signed last April by Ex-President Joe Biden, which made China’s ByteDance 270 days to offer the app to an owner from the United States or one of its counterpart or face a ban, in accordance with US national security concerns. Prior to the blackout, the Supreme Court adhered to the ban.

TikTok shut down for estimated 14 hours in January but ascribed its quick return to offer made by the then president-elect Donald Trump to make the platform accessible in the US.

Trump stated before assuming office that he would sign an executive order delaying action on the ban and TikTok had credited him for the cause the app returned.

“I will issue an executive order on Monday to extend the period of time before the law’s prohibitions take effect, so that we can make a deal to protect our national security,” Trump stated in a Truth Social post on January 19. He buttressed that he would not hold TikTok’s technology partners — including Apple, Google and cloud computing company Oracle — liable for continuing to make the app accessible until he signed the order.
