President Bola Tinubu has praised Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), describing him as “Mr Project” in a birthday message celebrating Wike’s 58th birthday on Saturday.

In a statement issued by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu commended Wike as one of the “shining stars” in his cabinet, highlighting his exceptional performance and dedication to infrastructure development in Abuja.

“Nyesom Wike has been one of the shining stars in the cabinet, an exceptional performer, developing infrastructure in the federal capital as never seen before and proving that his moniker as ‘Mr Project’ is not limited to his home state of Rivers,” Tinubu said.

The president specifically noted Wike’s intervention in resolving the 14-year deadlock on the Apo–Karshi road, praising his “resilience, can-do attitude, and commitment to excellence.” Tinubu also thanked the minister for being a champion of the Renewed Hope Agenda, despite belonging to a different political party.
