President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of two members of the Kano State House of Assembly, describing the incident as tragic and painful.
The lawmakers, Aminu Saad Ungogo and Aliyu Sarki Daneji, represented the Ungogo and Kano Municipal constituencies and reportedly died in separate incidents within one hour on Wednesday.
In a condolence message issued by his Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President said the passing of the legislators has created a significant void, depriving their constituencies of committed and dedicated representation.
Okay News reports that Tinubu extended his sympathies to the families of the deceased, their constituents, as well as the government and people of Kano State.
The President also commiserated with the leadership and members of the Kano State House of Assembly, praying for the repose of the souls of the late lawmakers and asking God to grant comfort and strength to their families and all those affected by the loss.
