Tinubu Congratulates Shinkafi-Bagudu on Election as UICC President

President Bola Tinubu has recently extended his congratulations to Dr. Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu on her election as the President of the Union for International Cancer Control, Okay.ng reports.

Tinubu In a statement released on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, praised her competence and character, describing her election as a significant achievement.

Dr. Shinkafi-Bagudu, a pediatrician and former First Lady of Kebbi State, made history as the first African and fifth woman to lead the global cancer control organization.

Tinubu praised her competence and character, emphasizing that her election represents Nigeria’s growing influence in global health leadership and demonstrates the country’s wealth of talent.

He also commended her invaluable services to Kebbi State and the nation, acknowledging her contributions to cancer control initiatives and her role in establishing the Kebbi State Strategic Plan for Cancer Control.

Tinubu expressed confidence in Dr. Shinkafi-Bagudu’s ability to leverage her new role to enhance cancer control and global health on the international stage.
