Abuja, NIGERIA — Former presidential aide and Nigerian ambassador to Mexico, Reno Omokri has presented a robust defense of the Renewed Hope agenda, outlining seven “indisputable” reasons why President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is positioned for victory in the January 2027 presidential election.
In a detailed analysis released on Sunday, Omokri argued that the administration’s record in stabilizing the educational sector and revolutionizing national infrastructure has left the opposition in a state of “agony.”
Central to Omokri’s argument is the claim that President Tinubu has successfully “democratized” road construction, citing the ₦15 trillion Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and the ₦13 trillion Illela-Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway as physical symbols of national unity. He further emphasized the administration’s impact on the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), noting that the past three years have been the first time in modern history that a four-year course remains a four-year course without national strikes. According to Omokri, the integration of interest-free student loans for one million undergraduates further solidifies Tinubu’s credibility among Nigerian youth.
Omokri’s seven-point justification begins with Absolute Clarity, noting that while the APC is organized for 2027, the opposition remains trapped in endless “consultations.” His second point focuses on the Economic Record, highlighting twelve cycles of GDP growth and Nigeria’s status as the 6th largest contributor to global growth in 2025. The third and fourth reasons emphasize Stability and Organization, contrasting the “steady hand” at the helm with the “unsteady” and “agonized” state of rival parties.
Okay News reports that the fifth reason highlights Tangible Results, specifically Nigeria’s transition into the largest exporter of refined petroleum products in West Africa.
The final points in Omokri’s assessment deal with Political Momentum and Opposition Disunity. He observed that the APC is attracting new supporters while the opposition “detracts” from its own membership, a trend exacerbated by Reason Seven: the lack of a united front among opposition figures. Omokri concluded that the fragmentation of rival parties, who he claims prefer Tinubu’s stay over supporting one another, makes the President’s re-election a logical outcome for a nation seeking unity through physical roads and “mental inroads.”
