President Bola Tinubu remains actively engaged in Nigeria’s governance despite being away in Europe for nearly two weeks, according to the Presidency.

Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, stated on Thursday that Tinubu, who traveled from Paris to London last weekend, continues to oversee national affairs and is in constant touch with key officials.

Onanuga emphasized that the President has issued “directives to security chiefs to address emerging threats in some parts of the country.” The statement, titled ‘Statement On President Tinubu’s Return To Nigeria,’ clarified that Tinubu’s absence is temporary and aligns with the previously communicated two-week timeframe.

The Presidency assured that Tinubu will return to Abuja after the Easter holidays. “The President’s commitment to his duties remains unwavering, and his administration continues to function effectively under his leadership,” Onanuga said, urging Nigerians to remain calm and assuring that governance is uninterrupted.
