President Bola Tinubu held a crucial meeting today with the country’s top military officials, led by Chief of Defense Staff, General Lucky Irabor, at the State House in Abuja.

This gathering marks President Tinubu’s first official engagement with the security helmsmen since assuming office earlier this week.

Arriving at the Villa at 10:53 am on Thursday, President Tinubu proceeded directly to a closed-door session with Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Farouk Yahaya; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo; Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Amao; and the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba.

Although the specific details of the agenda have not been made public, it is anticipated that the meeting will involve comprehensive briefings from each security chief.

The aim is to keep President Tinubu well-informed about the prevailing state of the nation’s security.
