State House, Abuja, Nigeria – President Bola Tinubu has hosted the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’adu Abubakar III, at the State House in Abuja as part of an ongoing series of consultations with prominent national leaders.
Okay News reports that details of the Sunday meeting with the Sultan, who also serves as the President-General of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), were not immediately made public.
The visit marks the latest in a string of high-level engagements at the Presidential Villa over the past ten days, which included separate meetings with elder statesman General Theophilus Yakubu Danjuma (retd.) and former Head of State General Yakubu Gowon (retd.).
Following his meeting with the President on Saturday, Gowon publicly commended Tinubu’s leadership, noting the administration’s efforts to advance reforms and drive progress across critical sectors of national governance.
