In a statement released from the State House on Friday, the President approved the appointment of new Service Chiefs across the Armed Forces.
According to the announcement, General Olufemi Oluyede has been appointed as the new Chief of Defence Staff, replacing General Christopher Musa. Major-General W. The President, who also serves as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, expressed deep gratitude to the outgoing Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, and other departing Service Chiefs for their “patriotic service and dedicated leadership.”
He charged the new appointees to “justify the confidence reposed in them” and to continue to uphold the professionalism, vigilance, and comradeship that define the Nigerian Armed Forces.
“All appointments take immediate effect,” the statement concluded.
