Tinubu Signs Laws Establishing Development Commissions for North-West and South-East Regions

President Bola Tinubu has signed into law two bills establishing the North-West Development Commission and the South-East Development Commission.

The commissions aim to accelerate development and address specific challenges in the respective regions.

According to Presidential Spokesman Ajuri Ngelale, the North-West Development Commission will focus on rebuilding infrastructure damaged by crisis, tackling poverty, literacy, ecological problems, and environmental challenges in the region.

Similarly, the South-East Development Commission will work on reconstructing and rehabilitating roads, houses, and infrastructure damaged in the region, as well as addressing ecological problems and developmental challenges.
