President Bola Tinubu has commissioned the first batch of 20 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses produced locally by Innoson Motors at the Presidential Villa in Abuja. The buses are part of the federal government’s efforts to mitigate the effects of fuel subsidy removal and provide alternative transportation solutions.

During the commissioning, President Tinubu took a break from the Federal Executive Council meeting to inspect the buses, which were driven to the forecourt of the Presidential Villa. The Chairman and CEO of Innoson Motors, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, had met with the President last week to discuss the project.

The introduction of CNG buses is expected to ease transportation challenges in the country, with Innoson Motors promising to deploy more CNG vehicles to cities across the federation soon.
