President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep sympathy to heavyweight boxing star Anthony Joshua following the tragic road accident on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway that claimed two lives and left the boxer injured.

He described the incident as a painful tragedy that has cast a shadow over the season.

Tinubu acknowledged the emotional toll of the crash on Joshua and his family, praising the boxer’s courage, discipline, and patriotism, which he said have made him a source of national pride to Nigeria.

The president prayed for Joshua’s swift recovery and for God to grant eternal rest to the souls of those who lost their lives, calling on Nigerians to support one another in moments of shared grief and national sorrow.
