Toke Makinwa is now regarded as the biggest loser following split with husband Maye Ayida who she has filed a divorce petition against.
One of shocking revelations from the petition is the fact that Toke Makinwa lost a groundbreaking endorsement deal with a telecommunication company because of the negative air the baby scandal news brought her earlier this year.
The court filing read, “Prior to the scandal which is now a public knowledge, the Petitioner (Omotoke Makinwa) was meant to sign an endorsement deal with one of the telecommunication giants in Nigeria worth N20million. However following the widespread negative media publicity of the Petitioner’s marriage predicated on the 1st Respondent’s adultry (Maye Ajida) with the 2nd respondent (Anita Solomon) and the birth of a child, the telecommunication giant withdrew from the endorsement deal which withdrawal negatively impacted the Petitioner as she has expended a long time and finances leading to the failed deal”.
The telecommunication company is thought to be Etisalat.
