The full-back will join up with his former captain at the Reds, Steven Gerrard, who will be his manager at the Scottish side.
Flanagan, who joined has joined the club on a two year-deal, told the club’s website “I’m delighted to be here. When I got the call from my agent and then spoke to Stevie, it was a no-brainer for me.”
The player, who played over 50 games for his former club, has been plagued by injuries over the last few years after making a promising start to his Anfield career.
He also provoked outrage earlier this year, after it emerged that he had been charged with the assault of his girlfriend.
