Real Betis Balompié have signed William Carvalho, from Sporting Clube de Portugal. The portuguese international has signed a contract with the Green and Whites until 2023.

William Carvalho (Luanda, Angola, 07/04/1992) made his professional debut in 2011, aged just 18. He was raised as a player in the academy at Sporting Clube.

He was loaned twice. The first one to Centro Desportivo Fátima in 2011, and then to Cercle Brugge for 18 months. Once he returned to the ‘lions’ for the season 2013/2014, the midfielder became one of the pillars of the club.

He has been one of the key players in the club from the Portuguese capital since then, and has won 47 caps with Portugal national team, becoming European champion in 2016. He has recently played the 2018 Russia World Cup.
