Tribunal Orders Re-Run in 18LGAs, Udom to Remain Governor of Akwa Ibom.

The Akwa Ibom state governorship election tribunal sitting in Abuja today passed judgement.

Delivering judgement, the tribunal held that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP scored the highest number of valid vote cast. The tribunal held that the elections complied with provisions of the electoral act.

The tribunal also held that election should be held again in 18 out of 31 local government areas of Akwa Ibom state.

Udom Emmanuel of PDP is to remain governor during the process.
