Washington D.C., ,USA – US President Donald Trump has warned Iran that the United States would launch a much stronger military response if Iran attempts to block oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz.

Okay News reports that Trump issued the warning on Monday in a message posted on his Truth Social platform amid rising tensions in the Middle East.

According to the US president, any effort by Iran to disrupt the flow of oil through the strategic waterway would trigger a response far more severe than previous American military strikes.

“If Iran does anything that stops the flow of oil within the Strait of Hormuz, they will be hit by the United States of America twenty times harder than they have been hit thus far,” Trump said.

He added that the United States could target locations in Iran that he described as “easily destroyable,” warning that such action could severely weaken the country’s ability to rebuild.

“Death, Fire and Fury will reign upon them — But I hope, and pray, that it does not happen!” Trump said.

The US president also said the warning was intended to protect global trade routes, noting that several countries depend heavily on oil shipments passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

“This is a gift from the United States of America to China, and all of those nations that heavily use the Hormuz Strait. Hopefully, it is a gesture that will be greatly appreciated,” he added.
