Many feared dead after a twin bomb blasts hit a market in Madagali town in northern part of Adamawa State in an apparent suicide attack.

Bomb Blast

“Two suspected female suicide bombers detonated the bombs that exploded at the grains section of Madagali market Friday morning and killed dozens of people.” says resident.

The actual casualty figures could not be immediately ascertained as security and volunteers were evacuating dead bodies and the injured to hospitals in Mubi and Gulak.

Confirming the incident, the Chairman of Madagali Local Government, Yusuf Muhammad called on federal government to deploy soldiers to the surrounding areas where he said Boko Haram insurgents set up camps.
