The Falconets of Nigeria on Monday lost their opening match against Germany at the ongoing Under-20 Women’s World Cup in France.

A second-half strike by Stefanie Saunders gave the German team victory over Nigeria.

Nigeria will still play China PR, Haiti in the group stage.

One of the Falconets, Rasheedat Adebisi, expressed optimism that the team will be in top shape for their next match on Thursday.
