UBEC chairman, daughter released by kidnappers

UBEC Chairman Mohammed Abubakar and daughter Yasmin

Chairman of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), Mohammad Mahmood Abubakar, and his daughter have been released by armed bandits who kidnapped them along Kaduna-Abuja expressway on Monday.

Okay Nigeria confirmed the release from one of Mahmood’s aides, Hussain Danladi.

Meanwhile, the aide also revealed that no ransom was paid for their release.
