Keir Starmer, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, has pledged tighter immigration rules to curb the growing number of illegal foreign workers in the country.

Since taking office in July 2024, Starmer has been pushing for reforms to the UK’s immigration policies, balancing a firm but fair approach compared to his predecessor, Rishi Sunak, and Conservative Party leader, Kemi Badenoch.

However, with increasing pressure from Tory hardliners and the rising popularity of Reform UK, a right-wing political party advocating for stricter border controls, Starmer is stepping up his immigration policies to retain public support.

Reaffirming his commitment to cracking down on illegal immigration, Starmer tweeted on Monday:

“Too many people are able to come to the UK and work illegally. We are putting an end to it.”

The UK Home Office has also announced a fresh wave of immigration raids targeting businesses and individuals employing illegal workers, signaling an intensified crackdown on violations of UK immigration laws.
