The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, welcomed Pelumi Nubi, the solo driver who traveled from London to Lagos, to the campus.

Nubi embarked on her journey on January 30, 2024, and arrived at the Nigeria-Benin Republic border on Sunday morning.

The 28-year-old Nubi’s father, Timothy Nubi, is a Professor at UNILAG. Ogunsola praised Nubi’s resilience, describing her feat as embodying the Nigerian spirit.

She emphasized that Nubi’s journey showcases the courage and determination of Nigerians and encouraged others to pursue their dreams fearlessly.
