Unknown gunmen have kidnapped the traditional ruler of Long Dorok Chiefdom in Shendam Local Government Area of Plateau State, David Isa.

The abductors stormed the residence of the Second Class Chief of Dorock Kingdom on Monday and whisked him away to an unknown destination, according to the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Tyopev Mathias.

The police have since set up a search and rescue team for the traditional ruler.

“After the receipt of the information, the Command immediately formed a search and rescue team which is working assiduously to rescue the Paramount Ruler unhurt,” Mathias said.
