MAIDUGURI, Nigeria — The Commander of the United States Special Operations Command Africa (SOCAFRICA), Major General Claude Tudor, has praised the tactical progress and military partnership between Nigeria and the United States in combating regional terrorism.
The operational review took place on Thursday, June 25, 2026, during a high-level diplomatic visit by the American military delegation to the Theatre Headquarters of Joint Task Force North East, Operation Hadin Kai, at Maimalari Cantonment in Maiduguri, Borno State.

In his response, the Theatre Commander of Operation Hadin Kai, Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar, expressed appreciation to the United States government for its comprehensive inclusion in the theater’s operational architecture. Abubakar noted that the ongoing collaboration has significantly enhanced the precision of both kinetic and non-kinetic military campaigns, while stressing the need for continued technical assistance and modern technological integration to stay ahead of evolving insurgent tactics.
