One of the Williams Sisters, Venus on Monday defeated reigning Miami Open champion Johanna Konta to reach the tournament’s quarter-finals.
The seven-time Grand Slam champion powered home 5-7, 6-1, 6-2 in two hours and 19 minutes.
She is now to face either Monica Puig or American Danielle Collins in the last eight.
