Amaechi Muonagor, the Veteran Nollywood actor, has reached out to the public for financial assistance as he battles a debilitating illness.

The veteran actor, known for his impactful roles and contributions to the Nigerian film industry, shared a heartfelt plea for support from well-wishers and fellow Nigerians.

In a recent video from his hospital bed, Muonagor recounted the harrowing events that led to his current health struggles.

He explained that following a stroke that left him paralyzed, his condition has shown no signs of improvement, prompting his transfer to the Nnewi Teaching Hospital in Anambra for continued treatment.

Reflecting on the unfortunate day when his life took an unexpected turn, the actor narrated the events leading up to his stroke, which occurred shortly after concluding a demanding shoot alongside his esteemed colleagues including Emeka Ani, Patience Ozokwo, Rita Edochie, and Ebele Okaro on a movie set.

Since the onset of his illness, Muonagor revealed that his physical condition has rapidly deteriorated. He expressed deep sorrow for not publicly disclosing his health challenges earlier, emphasizing the unexpected persistence and severity of his ailment.

The actor disclosed that the paralysis has affected significant parts of his body, making it impossible for him to move his legs or walk without assistance.

He candidly apologized for the need to solicit financial aid and stressed the urgent requirement for medical support and necessary treatments to alleviate his condition.

Furthermore, Muonagor lamented the critical shortage of essential medications required for his treatment during his prolonged stay at the current hospital.

The actor’s health struggles have led to severe swelling and a loss of appetite, intensifying the need for immediate medical attention.
