Good news for Super Eagles fans as Victor Osimhen, the star striker for Nigeria’s national football team, trained with his teammates in Bouake on Tuesday night, signaling his readiness for the crucial semi-final showdown against South Africa at the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Osimhen’s participation in the encounter was uncertain after he missed the team’s travel to Bouake on Monday due to abdominal discomfort.

However, the Napoli forward joined the squad in Bouake on Tuesday afternoon and participated in training, dispelling concerns about his fitness.

“Victor Osimhen has been declared fit and available for selection in the semi-final clash against South Africa on Wednesday. He has joined the team in Bouaké and has trained with the squad today,” announced the Super Eagles official X handle.

The 25-year-old striker has been instrumental for the Super Eagles throughout the tournament, contributing one goal and one assist in five appearances.

His presence on the pitch provides a significant boost to Nigeria’s attacking prowess as they seek to secure a spot in the AFCON final.

The highly anticipated semi-final match between Nigeria and South Africa is scheduled to kick off at 5:00 PM local time in Cote d’Ivoire, corresponding to 6:00 PM in Nigeria.
