Nigerian star striker Victor Osimhen has quashed rumors of a potential departure from the AFCON 2025 camp by returning to full training with his teammates.

Concerns had grown following a visible on-pitch disagreement between the Galatasaray forward and teammate Ademola Lookman during Nigeria’s 4-0 thrashing of Mozambique.

Okay News reports that the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has officially clarified the situation, confirming that the squad remains united and focused on the tournament. Osimhen was spotted participating in tactical drills this Tuesday, signaling that any internal tensions have been settled ahead of the quarterfinal round.

The Super Eagles, who currently hold a perfect record in the competition, are now preparing for a high-stakes encounter against Algeria. Maintaining the services of their top talisman is considered vital as Nigeria pursues its first continental title since 2013.
