Wolfsburg-bound Victor Osimhen will join the training camp of Nigeria U20, the Flying Eagles, next week, according to his representatives.

Osimhen, like several of the U17 World Cup-winning stars who are bound for European clubs, was not among the 30 players coach Emmanuel Amuneke has called up.

The others are Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze, who are on their way to Arsenal.

But the young striker’s representatives disclosed he will join up with the squad in Abuja later next week after he stayed back on the return of the country’s Olympic team from a friendly in Brazil.

“He will join the Flying Eagles next week,” announced one of the youngster’s representatives.

Next month, Nigeria will face Burundi in a qualifying match for next year’s U20 AFCON in Zambia.

The Flying Eagles are the defending African champions.
