The renowned businessman Farooq Oreagba, who recently gained widespread attention for his stylish appearance at the annual Ojude Oba festival, has opened up about his ongoing battle with incurable bone cancer.

Farooq, the head of NG Clearing Limited, shared his story in a heartfelt interview on AriseTV.

Farooq, who has been a regular participant in the Ojude Oba festival for over 15 years, spoke passionately about the family values that tie him to the event.

His participation in the festival has been a long-standing tradition, reflecting his deep roots in the community.

Diagnosed with bone cancer in 2014, Farooq underwent a bone marrow transplant the same year.

Despite the challenges posed by his diagnosis, he has made significant contributions to cancer charities and has been actively involved in counseling others who have received cancer diagnoses.

“People ask me why I am so happy despite having an incurable bone cancer. I tell them, ‘I am alive and as long as you’re in the game, you can win the game. Every day is a blessing,'” Farooq said, emphasizing his positive outlook on life.

Farooq also spoke about the impact his diagnosis had on his social life. He revealed that many friends deserted him following his diagnosis, leaving him with a drastically reduced social circle.

“My friends reduced from five million to one million when I left the Nigerian exchange and from one million to a hundred when I was diagnosed with cancer,” he added.
