Visa applicants to be asked for social media details – US Department of State

The United States Department of State has said visa applicants will now be asked for their social media details when seeking to enter America, BBC reports.

Okay.ng understands details required from people will be social media names and five years’ worth of email addresses and phone numbers.

The move is part of the state department’s plan to ensure national security in the country.
