A late goal from Miguel Britos denied Liverpool maximum point in a pulsating encounter that finished 3-3 at the Vicarage Stadium.

The host opened scoring in the 8th minute of the match through Nigerian-born Italian striker, Stefano Okaka Chuka.

Liverpool got punished from poor defending after Jose Holebas played in a sumptuous corner into the six yard box. Big man Stefano Okaka, who was unmarked, rose to meet the ball and planted a header into the net.

Sadio Mane leveled scores for the visitors in the 29th minute of the game when he was played through on goal by Emre Can. The Senegalese International composed himself to plant a stunning finish into the top corner of the net.

Watford regained lead in the 32nd minute of the game with Abdoulaye Doucoure scoring from a move he started.

Doucoure calmly slotted the ball into the net from a few yards out.

Liverpool came back into the game via a penalty in the 55th minute of the match which was converted by Roberto Firmimo.

Two minutes later, Liverpool turned the game around. New signing Mohamed Salah scored the third goal for the visitors, making sure it crossed the line from a Firmino effort to make the scoreline 2-3 in favour of the visitors.

Britos, however, became the hero of the match after he equalised for the host in injury time of the game to rescue a point for Watford.
