Nigerian singer Kcee has opened up about his past romantic relationship with popular Nollywood actress Ebube Nwagbo, revealing they were once one of Nigeria’s most talked-about celebrity couples.
Okay.ng reports that the Limpopo crooner made the revelation during a recent episode of the Tea With Tay podcast, hosted by Temisan Emmanuel.
Kcee, whose real name is Kingsley Okonkwo, said the relationship with Ebube Nwagbo dominated newspaper headlines at the time, and they were often seen attending red carpet events together, sitting in the front row.
“My scandals were before social media became rampant. I was just a young boy dating one actress. Me and actresses were always headlining the papers. I loved actresses back then. Who wouldn’t?” he said.
While choosing not to name all the actresses he dated, Kcee confirmed that his romance with Ebube was highly publicized.
“Our relationship was everywhere; Ebube Nwagbo. We were always on the front covers of newspapers. And we usually sat on the front row of every red carpet show.
“We were close to getting married. Whatever that happened, happened,” he added, without going into further details.
Kcee is now married to Ijeoma Okonkwo, and the couple tied the knot in 2010. They currently have two children.
Ebube Nwagbo, a respected figure in Nollywood with numerous film credits, is currently single.
