Some Igbos in London have queried the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu on what he and other Igbo people in general have done to help themselves in the fight for Biafra.

In a video going viral, Kanu urged the group of people that were based in London at the World Igbo Congress 2015 held in Los Angeles to ask Indigbo in diaspora for arms and ammunition in the fight for Biafra.

Obviously scared about his request for the use of force against the Nigerian government, a woman cited an example of former American Baptist minister and activist who became the most visible spokesperson and leader in Civil Rights, Martin Luther King, who achieved the aim for the black race without the use of violence.

“You have given a mandate, which says, ‘Do or Die”. America wouldn’t have been like this if Martin Luther King had not stood his ground and fight for peace.

“How can we at this little time go into this (fight for cessation)?” she queried.

Responding, Kanu said ” we have to speak the truth. It may not sound practical.

While thanking Kanu for his efforts so far, another person asked what the Igbos community has done to improve their welfare before talking about the leadership of positions in Nigeria being held by the Northerners.
