White Man Captured In Sambisa Forest Repairs Boko Haram Equipment

More details have emerged of the white man captured by Nigerian troops during the successful exercise that broguht down the Sambisa forest from the control of the Boko Haram insurgents group last week.

 

Although, the Federal Government and military authorities are still keeping his identity secret for diplomatic reasons, Daily Trust reports that the white man is a France national who specializes in repairing and unlocking armoured personnel vehicles and other fighting equipment used by the insurgents.

Shortly after the announcement of the capture of Sambisa forest , Borno State by President Muhammadu Buhari, soldiers who took part in the operation conformed the arrest of a white man whom sources said has been providing “credible information” to military authorities.

However, the Defence Headquarters has been silent on the development since the news broke last Friday.

A source according to the report said, “He was arrested along the Bama axis of the Sambisa forest and agreed to give vital information provided he would be spared. I learnt that he is from France but authorities do not want to make his real identity known for diplomatic reasons…They  don’t want to jeopardize the success recorded.”

Although some sources only said the captured white man is “from Western Europe,” the report said it learnt that he is actually a Frenchman.
