Another minister has been found culpable of not having partaken in the NYSC scheme.
Adebayo Shittu, Oyo State governorshop aspirant and Minister of Communication, has been accused of not serving in the scheme after graduating from the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in 1978.
According to an investigation by Premium Times, Shittu completed his programme at the Law School, and was elected into the Oyo State House of Assembly.
However, Shittu insisted that he deliberately skipped NYSC, stating that “The constitution provides for the qualification needed for state assembly members, NYSC is not there. I didn’t need it to become a member of the state assembly, and that is already a service.”
