Kante

New Chelsea midfielder, N’Golo Kante, on Sunday said the club’s new coach, Antonio Conte, as well as the English Premiership side’s ambitions spurred him to cross over from Leicester City.

The 25-year-old was the second signing since Conte became the club’s manager sine months ago.

In a tweet, Kante said he shared Chelsea’s ‘high ambitions,’ and was willing to be a part of realising them.

“I’m now waiting to see my new club and give everything for s successful summer…. and season of course! We keep in touch,” he said.

He also paid tribute to his former club as well as its fans and managers. He also paid condolences to the people of Nice on the July 14, 2016 terrorist attack that claimed scores of lives.

Kante, who was part of the France squad that was denied a host-team triumph at Euro 2016 by an extra-time Portugal goal in the final.
Reminiscing on it, he wore: “We lost but we can be proud.”
