“I went to the Lagos State sports council early on Monday morning for my daily training but I was turned back. The gate to the council was locked and they said nobody including athletes were allowed inside .

When I asked what the problem was, I was informed that one of their female accountants came to the office that morning but she slumped and died in her office. I learnt that it was her colleagues who saw her corpse and raised alarm. I do not know the woman but those who claimed to know her said she was an amiable person. I left the place and went to the National Stadium to work-out before going home”

The Lagos state police command spokesperson DSP Kenneth Nwosu when contacted over the incident said the death has not been reported to the police.
