The presidency has that workers’ salaries for the month of October will be paid today.

The salary had been delayed and wasn’t paid at end of the month.

According to a statement signed by the senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, “the delay was inadvertent,” and “caused by unforeseen technical challenge.”

“President Muhammadu Buhari is seriously concerned about the ordeals of civil servants on account of delayed payment of salaries”, it said.

It added that the development followed the restoration of the computers that crashed as the salaries were about being paid last month.
