The World Federation of Advertisers (WFA) has appointed senior executives from global brands including Driscoll’s, Haleon, Ikea, and Nissan, as well as Nigeria’s O’tega Ogra, to its Executive Committee during the WFA Global Marketer Week held in Stockholm, Sweden.

The appointments bring new leadership into the global marketing body, with Jiunn Shih, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Driscoll’s, Silas-Lewis Meilus, Global Head of Media Operations at Haleon, Joel Renkema, Global Head of Insights at Ikea, and José Román, Corporate Executive for Global Sales and Marketing at Nissan, joining the committee.

O’tega Ogra, Vice-President of the Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) and Senior Special Assistant on Digital Communications, Engagement and New Media Strategy to Nigeria’s President, was also named among the new members, alongside Josh Faulks, Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Association of National Advertisers (AANA), and Simon Michaelides, Director General of the Incorporated Society of British Advertisers (ISBA) in the United Kingdom.

Okay News reports that the expanded Executive Committee also includes senior marketing and corporate affairs leaders from multinational companies such as Best Buy, Danone, Diageo, Grab, Kenvue, and Tata Group, reflecting a broader effort to strengthen global representation within the organisation.

The WFA confirmed that David Wheldon will continue in his role as President, while Philip Myers, Chief Institutional Affairs and Corporate Communications Officer at Ferrero, will remain Deputy President, alongside all regional vice presidents who retain their positions.
