YESTERDAY — Fire Razes MTN Mast In Akwa Ibom [PHOTOS]

Telecommunications giant, MTN’s mast located at Secretariat Road, Ibeno, 100m from Exxon Mobil (QIT) in Eket, Akwa Ibom caught fire, Tuesday morning. The power generating set and other equipment were said to be destroyed in the inferno.  See another photo below

It is not clear if the incident is connected with the Federal Government’s  announcement that transmitters for Radio Biafra through with hate messages have been broadcast in recent months were installed on MTN masts.
