JOS, PLATEAU STATE, NIGERIA, – Governor Caleb Mutfwang has visited victims of the recent attack in Angwan Rukuba, expressing deep sorrow and assuring residents that those responsible will be brought to justice.
During his visit to the affected community in Jos North Local Government Area, the governor said he stood with grieving families and shared in their pain, describing the incident as a tragic loss for the entire state. He reassured victims that they are not alone, emphasising that their suffering is felt across Plateau.
Okay News reports that Mutfwang pledged a relentless pursuit of justice, vowing that perpetrators of the attack would not go unpunished. He also announced that the state government would take full responsibility for the medical treatment of those injured, while ensuring that those who lost their lives receive dignified burials.
The governor further called on traditional rulers, religious leaders, and community stakeholders to collaborate with the government, stressing that security is a shared responsibility. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to restoring peace, strengthening security, and rebuilding trust across Plateau State.
